I know if you’re using “ m.wikihow.com
” (the mobile website) it shows a couple of irrelevant advertisements in articles. However, on the normal http://website
it does not. If for some reason, you are getting advertisements on articles whilst using the normal wikiHow website, then I suggest you scan your computer for viruses and malware. -Tom.
I don’t think viruses/ malware on one’s computer affect the ads that are displayed on wikiHow. The ads placed by Google should be relevant to the article and your recent searches (I think Google displays some ads which it thinks you might be interested in). Moreover, I don’t think there is a lot that can be done by wikiHow when it comes to which ads are being shown to whom. I could be wrong, though. I don’t know much about how Google places ads/ decides which ad to display, and why are some relevant to the reader while some are not.
