I just finished writing my first guide, “How To Create An Audiobook With Chapters Using Free Tools on a Mac”, and when I was done, I wanted to switch to advanced editing mode to change the order of two of the steps. I clicked advanced mode, and received some kind of error about a string being too long. When I clicked the back arrow, all of my work had been erased. It took me about 90 minutes to write, and I’m a little too frustrated to do it again right now. Is there anywhere my work might be recovered?

I’m sorry to hear about this, @Whomeverwiz ! That’s incredibly frustrating. In general, when you switch between editors, you’re supposed to see a warning like this: http://www.screencast.com/t/zwwxylWwfnB - did your browser not display that heads-up? Can you let me know what kind of OS and browser you’re editing on? I’d like to do a little poking and testing to see if I can figure out if there’s a setup the warning isn’t working on. If you remember any details about the error, can you let me know anything more about what it said or how it looked? If you were using the Article Creator, which it sounds like you were, I’m afraid it’s unlikely that your article has saved somewhere. You can try checking your drafts, here , just in case, though. I’m sorry for the hassle, and I do hope you decide to give it another go!
