I recently tested out the wikiHow source code, and the installation went well, but now i am left with only blank pages. Any ideas why?

Hi Adelaide, this isn’t spam. It’s a legit question - we make our source available for others. Hi IGriffiths, I don’t know whether there is anyone among wikiHow’s editors (who are the primary contributors to this forum) who has attempted to install our code. Our engineering team unfortunately lacks the resources to support other installs, and our code is a heavily customized version of MediaWiki that will take some expertise get working. I do recall a group of volunteers working with our code a while back - you might be able to get some pointers from people on this group https://code.google.com/p/wikihow/

To clarify, I wasn’t telling IGriffiths specifically. Someone else advertised on the forum thread, so I gave them the warning before the comment was deleted. Apologies for the confusion, and I agree that this is a legit question.

@IGriffiths , I tried back in the day and it was a nightmare. It is my understanding that the code does not include pages. So you’ll have to populate the database yourself. Perhaps @ChrisH can provide a copy of the database? Or at least a test database.
