Just thought I’d start a thread so that we can all post updates and happenings from the meetup this weekend!

It’s rainy out here today, and I took a long walk through puddles and showers earlier… but I’m snug in the hotel lobby now, doing a little wiki-ing from a funky orange couch, and waiting for wikiHowians to start trickling in this afternoon:slight_smile:

Lots of rainy puddles in nearby Forest Park today! But it’s supposed to get sunnier tomorrow:

Oh, and for anyone interested, we’ve got Jack’s annual State of the Wiki talk scheduled for around 6pm CT tomorrow, Friday May 5th (see what that is in your time zone, here ). 

If all the technology behaves, we’ll stream it at the time via Hangouts/YouTube and post the link here… and also post a link for the upload afterwards. Course, technology behaving is always a big “if” but that’s the plan:slight_smile:

I think those of you who are at the meetup already should consider posting some photos of anything happening.:wink:Some of us are getting there on Friday and I (and possibly others) won’t be getting there until Saturday, so those pictures might be a great insight to us latecomers as to what’s going on!

The hotel is great, thanks @Anna ! I’m sorry I could not stay up to have a meal with you all last night, I was just too shattered! I’ve had a great night sleep so as you can guess I’ve been up since 4am (St. Louis) time and looking forward to a ‘‘proper’’’ cup of tea and foooooooooooooooood! So far the weather looks dry (dark outside at the moment) but the forecast for today looks better than yesterday. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

@ ItsPugle the time difference and long flight was a killer!  I went to bed as soon as I arrived at the hotel so woke up super early desperate for a cuppa!  I had a really nice cup in the hotel restaurant just now, English Breakfast tea and proper milk!  Just waiting for the rest of the group so we can go for breakfast.
