I used to do a little bit of work on wikiHow but now I am so bored! Can anyone give me something to do on wikiHow? I mostly write articles on cryptids, aliens etc. just to help you. Thanks in advance!

If you are bored, just write more articles, answer requests etc. You can start more discussions on like, what you’re interested in. Hope it helped, Allyt:slight_smile:

The Image Picker App is fun. IMHO anyway…

Hey, if you like writing articles you could try copyediting, or expanding stubs. There’s also patrolling recent changes, welcoming new users, categorizing, image picking, voting on articles nominated for deletion or for featured article status, weaving links…there’s loads of stuff that should cover a wide interest.:slight_smile:Contact me on my talk page if you have any questions, I’d be happy to help! Max

I agree with all the comments here. No one is forcing youto edit. If you’re bored, click the “Random article” button and just read! Also, wH isn’t the last place on the Internet. There is literally millions of websites dedicated to defeating boredom. But if you want to contribute, change things up. Sometimes I get bored doing RCP. So I stop doing it and work on articles. If I don’t feel like writing, I’ll do the image picker app. If I feel like judgemental, I go to the NFD category and pitch two cents at articles that I feel are stupid and should be deleted. (last one is kind of a joke…you should always contribute to the discussion and not just say it is stupid.) All-in-all, if you find yourself not really wanted to do anything, then just read. Most articles are well-written and it’s just good to read them. Thank the writers for a good job. Rinse, repeat. Don’t be afraid to make a mistake and most importantly Be BOLD!.

Thank you everybody for your wonderful comments. I think I have a fair idea of what to do know.

If you do get bored consider taking a break from Wikihow, it becomes more fun if you havn’t done something in a while.

I know im supposed to say " WikiHow is a great site" and as all the admins above have said “there is plenty to do” I know I am supposed to support them, but im not. This is because you are right. I understand how you feel and I have felt that way so much, thats why i took on the role of being the head of Mentors. I dont feel bored TOO MUCH, I still do though. Basically, get a routine. EG. Welcome users then go to new pages and make them better, then go back to new contributers and welcome some people etc

Peter Gray, no one is forcing you to go on wikiHow. Theres millions of other websites.

Errr I’m not the main poster…

^^Agreed with all of the above. Peter and RIPTheRev- no one is making you be here. Take a wikiBreak, if you like. Come back and see what’s new. Then maybe you’ll see there’s so much for you:smiley:

Please don’t bump old threads:slight_smile:Thanks.

No one’s forcing you to edit here if you’re bored. I think a bit of Wikipedia’s “What Wikipedia is not” article applies here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not#Wikipedia_is_not_compulsory “Wikipedia is not compulsory Wikipedia is a volunteer community, and does not require its users to give any more time and effort than they wish. Focus on improving the encyclopedia itself, rather than demanding more from other users. Editors are expected to comply with Wikipedia guidelines and policies, especially when it comes to behavior and conduct. But editors are welcome to take a break or leave Wikipedia at any time.” Do what you find interesting here, no one’s forcing you to do any more than that.

What Allyt said. wikiHow is not compulsory.
