Hey there! EO speaking! XD

Okay, to start off, this is NOT to offend anyone, and I am NOT trying to attack wikiHow. It’s an awesome site. But, just a thought, don’t you guys think that wikiHow CAN get a little bit boring over months of time? Maybe even one? I am now a user in here for 2 WHOLE MONTHS! That’s a long time, and I’m proud to be on here for that long, but now it is starting to get a little bit null and dull, now that you’ve contributed on the site from front to back; everything is the same. You edit and reverte bad ones and use templates for coaching. Sure, you make friends, which is one of the reasons why I’m on here.

*Cough*

@Anna

But other than that, there isn’t much to do anymore than in the forums, which is why I’m here most of the time now than on the actual site.

Also, isn’t it kinda weird that some people, which in this case is a lot of people, are on here for at least 24 hours a day?! And some on even on here for the whole night! No offense to the people I’m talking about. And besides, if most of the people on here are teenagers and adults, don’t they have things to do, like me? For instance:

. Kids

. Jobs

. Vaction

. Homework

. Hobbies

and a lot of other things.

Post here if you have a comment to share.

Wikihow is awesome, but just seems to get boring over time.

Hmm…well I’ve been on wikiHoqw for almost 6 months…

And what do you think of it now?

Hi @EO

There’s much more to do than edit and patrol! Check out this place for some more options:  https://www.wikihow.com/Special:CommunityDashboard . You may enjoy helping the world through those tools!!

But if it gets boring, no obligation to contribute:slight_smile:

I am certainly not on the site 24/7. I have a rich and busy life, but try and edit when I have time and am in the mood to do so. I still love wikiHow!

Adelaide

I have been on wikiHow since July last year and although I like to stick to regular habits, I normally find something different to try. To me it rarely ever gets boring.

Yes, there are many tools, and there ARE pretty cool, but I’ve tried all of them already, except for the ones that I can’t use, like the welcomer wagon. They can get dull over time too!

For example: in the picture tool, you for yes or no if it is good for the topic or not. That is it.

To each his own. For me wH may never be boring partially because it can never be ‘complete’. There is always something or the other that needs to be done, new topics, better content etc. The most important thing being the community.

Same.

Nah, not really.  I don’t really get bored of wikiHow itself.  But sometimes you just wanna take a break from it because not much is going on, then you com back and see a FAT change in SOMETHING.

I’d say it’s pretty fun, especially if you communicate with others.  If not, it’s going to get boring.

+1

You, of course, can try shaking stuff up like perhaps joining a new project, becoming a page designer, taking the welcome wagon test or something else.

I guess I could do that.

sometimes it gets BoringNOTE :N MY OPINION

I’ve been on wikiHow for 3 years. 1095 days. As with anything, some tasks get monotonous. There’s only so many times in a day you can look at a new RCP. That’s why it’s important to take a break, so you don’t burn out. For a couple hours, a couple days. True lovers of contributing, like myself, always come back though. There’s so many things to do on wikiHow that even if one thing gets boring you can move on to something else.

You all make very powerful points, and appreciate all of the comments. The thing is, though, it IS kind of weird that people seem to be here almost ALL THE TIME, like they have nothing else to do in there lifes. Aren’t I right?

Yes…
