While looking through some of these last few corrections, I came across some weird pages. One ( wikihow.com/wikiHow:Templates/Random-Editor-Awards
) has some funky fixings following the Dedication template. Although the sections are there, they are not formatted as sections, on a Microsoft Edge Browser (Windows 10)(though an aboutmybrowser will come up with an earlier version of Google Chrome that what is most current), the sections come up as links though when you click on them, they go nowhere (to others like @Vishwavijay
he says they become white in color)… I know the dedication template uses white text. I added another div since it was unequal, but even after a final fix, the issue still presides here.
I also have another issue with another page. I was told about wikihow.com/wikiHow:Templates/User-Statistics
and had done the research about the three templates that don’t have previews on the page. (There could be a simple fix here, though I can’t figure it out.) For three templates on this page, when you go to show the preview, some still don’t show, and for those that can show through an example “sentence” as the template requires I tried typing a value but the value doesn’t show at all in the example sentence.
The Random Editor Awards page is white for me as well after the Dedication template, so I’m guessing it might still need to have a few tags closed, but I don’t know what they are. As for the User Statistics page, did Vishwa describe what the templates are that need fixing accordingly? If not, then it may be difficult for me or someone else to actually find a fix for them.
The templates that do not show a preview are :
- {{ #NABCOUNT:
}}
- {{Patrolcount}} and
- {{ #PATROLCOUNT:
}} This code has a link to this page http://www.wikihow.com/Show-Your-Patrol-Count-on-Your-wikiHow-User-Page
for reference. I tried adding the date but didnt get the preview still.
If I type in {{Template:NABCOUNT}} rather than {{ #NABCOUNT:
}}, it shows for me when previewed. I can’t get {{Patrolcount}} to show, either. {{ #PATROLCOUNT:
}} works for me. It might be your user page? Test again and see if you know you can’t get them to show.
Alright. @McDonalds1
Earlier, I tried these templates and codes on talkpages. Now, when I check a preview on my userpage,
- {{Template:NABCOUNT}} This shows. That I am not a booster, it shows a blank. But it shows the grey statistics box.
- {{ #NABCOUNT:
}} This one shows too. It shows the digit. As to the number of articles, I might have boosted. It shows zero.
- {{Patrolcount}} This does not show a result on my userpage.
- {{ #PATROLCOUNT:
}} Shows for me too.
Im sorry I tried them on talkpage. But even on talkpages, some of them shows the preview.
Okay. So you tested it on your talk page. That’d likely be your culprit there, since those appear to be intended for use on user pages.
Yes. Thanks for helping, as always.
