Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE wikiHow. But there is ONE little thing that annoys me. That is having that WEAVE LINKS link all the way at the top of the article. I can see it as a cause of less article weaving.

I know it’s petty, but the lack of a single button for the Community Dash drives me crazy. No one stop shop tab to click on to bring you where you need to go. Sometimes new users ask how to get to the dashboard, too(although they really should be able to figure that out themselves).
The edit/discuss/history links on articles being smaller than before.

@Ttrimm
- was there a weave links option somewhere different before? I know there was an option up-top (here in guided http://screencast.com/t/67ngjVu2M6H3
; and in the toolbar for advanced, similar to now) - those are the only ones I ever used. Is there a link missing from somewhere else that was useful?

absolutely no intro photos. I think they look really great on some articles, even if the research says otherwise.

i agree with all of those. no share links above title. they have disappeared now. put a row under the first step even better maybe

There was one directly above the edit ‘boxes’ before, not at the top of the page. http://screencast.com/t/PrUC720fgl

- oh I see, so the shift up a bit? I just want to make sure there isn’t a bug that’s putting it in the wrong spot for you or anything! Is this what you see, too? http://screencast.com/t/HjMJBa8hI
If that makes a difference it’s a good thing to get feedback on, thanks! I don’t use the Guided Editor much, so I just wasn’t sure what might be missing in the new design. If you’re not seeing it like in that screenshot, let me know!

@Anna
did you look at my screencast? It’s a video. That might help you understand what I am saying/seeing.

@Ttrimm
- Sorry, totally missed the screencast. Space case over here! And now that we’ve talked on IRC, I’m getting the issue - it’s when you’re Previewing, the weave links button either disappears or gets much harder to find (up at the top). Looks like a bug! I’ll put in a bug report - thanks for catching that! Some of those little things are really hard to spot if you don’t happen to regularly use that function. Good eye, Ms Trimm!
I always did Edit in Advanced mode and it never warned me about “leave page”. Now I wanted to switch between the Guided Editing and Advanced Editing and I am warned about “leave page”. This means I have to save my work, and then reload draft in Advanced mode. Of course there is a workaround but this is annoying. “Workaround” means extra time and efforts invested, and extra time on every article means less editing volume. .
Quite honestly it was a lot easier and more straightforward to do Editing in the OLD design.
I don’t like the forum,and profile tabs,links at the top,and well the sign in-log in thing,but all in all pretty cool
To have a “Safe draft” button on the top of the page instead of bottom would be a lot more convenient.
I want the talk page message bar back. That yellow one reading “You have a new talk page message”. That would make my page brighter and would make me curious about the message.

The fact that you can’t share your thumbs up on any social networking site (though the request has been put in now :D)

We’ve needed a mediawiki upgrade for a rather long time, so a complete re-write was in order. I guess I’ll eventually get used to the changes. I’ve already been through this before with wikiHow, so it’s really no biggie. Every “new and improved” website has some “Why in the world did they do it THAT way” glitches, so if this is a step in the direction of getting the mediawiki upgrade? Then I’m in favor of it, regardless of inconveniences and irritation along the way.

without a doubt! I have NO problems (well, maybe one) with the new design.
Me either.
It was just pretty hard on the eyes at first, but that was at first…

Me? How long it takes the home page to load. Also how some of the non-picture articles look awful in the new cat system.
