Thanks to the hard work of Mr @Jordansmall
, we have a new feature to announce: improved, handy-dandy keyboard shortcuts for several of our editing tools! I’ll list the options below, but you’ll also find mouseovers on the relevant buttons to remind you if need be. RC Patrol: Quick Note: Ctrl+Alt-Q Quick Edit: Ctrl+Alt-E Rollback: Ctrl+Alt-R Skip: Ctrl+Alt-S Mark as Patrolled: Ctrl+Alt-M Back: Ctrl+Alt-B Thumbs Up: Ctrl+Alt-T Greenhouses: Edit: Ctrl+Alt-E Skip: Ctrl+Alt-S Publish: Ctrl+Alt-P Preview: Ctrl+Alt-V Cancel: Ctrl+Alt-C Tips Patrol: Skip: Ctrl+Alt:S Delete: Ctrl+Alt:D Publish: Ctrl+Alt:P Try them out and let us know if you find any bugs! Happy - and potentially mouse-free - wikiHowing

Those of you who’ve already been using shortcuts will notice that these are slightly different. We’ve always had shortcuts for RC patrol but now they work across more browsers. That being said, use these shortcuts wisely, as you would use your mouse-clicking
Another bonus about shortcuts is that they make wikiHow more accessible for people who might not be able to use a mouse, but can use a keyboard. Ideally, we want to make wikiHow as accessible as possible for anyone with a disability. We’re a long way from that but this is a step in that direction!

Thanks K! Good clarification - yeah, having worked in disability/human services in the past, I kind of forget that people might think of it as a speed issue! Patrolling should still be slow and steady as ever. This just makes the tools more accessible to folks who need that function
Good, maybe, Bad, Awesome, Awesomer than anything, Rate!

@Jordansmall
Safari for Windows RC Patrol Ctl+Alt+E for quick edit comes up with a dialog box that asks if I want to empty the cache! #bug
! Haven’t tried the others. On my normal IE browser, everything works. Haven’t yet tried Firefox or Google Chrome. Unsure if this issue exists on Safari for Mac, as I don’t own a Mac.
@Krystle
, Ok. All other browsers have no other problems except that Safari for Windows item (and I only tested these shortcuts on RCP). I tested them on IE, Firefox, Chrome and Safari for Windows.
