As everyone with an Apple product knows, the iOS updates to a new major version occasionally. In the “ Apple iOS
” category, there are articles on multiple versions: iOS 4 - 1 article iOS 5 - 41 articles iOS 6 - 6 articles And the rest are misc. articles. Obviously, iOS 5 articles dominate the category. So what if we make subcategories for iOS 5 and 6? The one iOS 4 article plus the rest of 'em can stay in the main Apple iOS category.
I personally think we should retitle the articles to get rid of the iOS version numbers. Most of the instructions written for iOS 5 still work in iOS 6. I would suggest we only label articles with a version number if they no longer work for the current versions of iOS.
I just went ahead and changed one of these titles: http://www.wikihow.com/index.php?title=Use-the-Dictionary-in-iOS&action=history
We can also change the intro to add the product names the searcher is probably looking for like iPhone, iPad, iPod in there and remove the marketing fluff surrounding the launch of iOS5 http://www.wikihow.com/index.php?title=Use-the-Dictionary-in-iOS&diff=8893158&oldid=6375658
If anyone wants to do the other 41 that would be great!
Apologies for the late reply! @JackHerrick
I think that’s a great idea! I just started my winter break, so I’ve got a lot of free time to do that.
