We might just want to standardize to something that won’t need changing as they rebrand and reversion… like Mac Operating System or even just keeping it all under Mac or something like that? Something for noodling on once we get to the tech topics in the category review! Thanks, Bat!

Just wanted to follow up on this thread as well as in the other thread where we talked about it - our best practices moving ahead for Apple topics are probably going to focus on names that reflect the hardware, rather than the software (since there are frequent version/branding updates and readers can’t keep track and often don’t know what they have!). So “on a Mac” and “on an iPhone” would be the way to go for titles. In the long run, we may well want to change this category to “Mac Operating System” or something general/evergreen like that… or maybe just fold it into the broader Mac category. We’ll have a look at it once we get to revamping the categories in that area, but for now, don’t worry - folks will continue finding the topics through search, and can likely get the gist that this category refers to the general OS, regardless:slight_smile:
