I am raising this concern because of a lengthy, slightly heated discussion with a veteran editor of 11 years over what the purpose of images are.
From the view of @Ben_Kovitz
it seems as if images in some articles make them more difficult and confusing to understand. I know my views about the purpose of images differs from theirs, but I think having a place to voice these concerns are kind of important.
I know @Colie
created another thread about how one of the articles she started had her good images nerfed with something too cheesy and unhelpful.
I will share my views in a separate post on this thread, but invite @Ben_Kovitz
to voice their concerns on wikiHow images in general and what they have been finding about them. Hopefully after some civilized discussion we can have all misunderstandings about wikiHow images cleared up.

This is a situation that can be handled one-on-one, and I’ve already reached out to Ben to clarify the need for images. We’ve already rehashed the “how useful are images” discussions multiple times a year. There is really no need to keep bringing it up.

Do you want to move this into “Help Using wikiHow”? I already pointed Ben towards that thread–I want to hopefully clear stuff up in the forums about it.
Again: this could have easily been addressed one-on-one. Bringing it to the forums is quite frankly inappropriate.
