The timer can be annoying sometimes, but it’s a pretty useful tool for reducing the incidence of spam and general excess chatting. As such, the benefits of keeping the timer (i.e. making it easier to find what you want, less spam, less work for admins who moderate the forums) outweigh the disadvantages (i.e. some temporary annoyance).

more disadvantageswhen you are playing “quick before a welcomer post” and you type your number the the timer stops you and before you know it a welcomer post before you can…then u got to start over

Yeah. I do think that the timer should be a 20 second thing though…
It would still prevent spam but it would be much less annoying.

If the worst part about the timer is that it causes you to lose a forum game, I’d say that’s a pretty high-quality problem.
