Another one for you, but maybe a suggestion for the engineers if you can forward it across for a patrolling aspect. At the moment when people add images, it shows the title and then a range of suggestions (if any exist), but there is nothing that comes up to say the article has been flagged either for deletion, copy violations or whatever. There is a strange amount of images added to NFD articles and I’ve even seen a few on the speedy and copyviobots. I can’t recall anyone adding them to an inuse article (whether these are somehow protected), but then again these are less common. There is a link there for image adding people to go to see the page in a remote tab, or see the intro, but it can be fairly safe to say this is done somewhat sporadically. The complication is it does come into the patrol list and they all then get rolled back which does seem to be somewhat fruitless double handling. I’m not sure whether it would be easier to (a) remove all NFD flagged and other dodgy candidate articles from the list or (b) to show the introduction on the screen with templates all the time or © to have a little red flag image light up whenever there is a template on there. Its also in connection that in patrolling that most templates aren’t showing up on the current revision image. It shows it in the text version earlier up. These two screenshots below show the examples - its from one example but simply scrolled down: http://www.wikihow.com/Image:Screenshot2_565.png

I wonder if there is some way to show the template on the current revision page whether it might reduce the amount of patrolling and double handling done. In a related section, there has been one or two rare cases where I’ve seen an article (spam usually) and went to quick edit for adding an NFD template, but found one had already been put on because there had been multiple edits to that spam article. I was looking at one, another patroller had seen another version, added the template and moved on. It doesn’t show the latest templates in the current revision section, or on the text version for these, only when you go to the quick edit page or go to the page history and click on current version to see how it really looks. These things slow down a patroller and so I suspect for many it doesn’t happen that often for less fastidious patrollers. Just a thought in case there is a way to make it easier for everyone.
I’ve been wondering why it’s impossible to see templates from within tools as well.
I do like the idea of seeing the templates from the tools…
Same. I always open the article in a new tab to see if there were any templates instead.

We made a change in April where articles with NFD templates should not be showing up in Intro Image Adder. It’s possible that this has come undone, in which case I’d like to file a report. I’ll try to find examples but @Kalyx
(or anyone) if you come across any can you send me screenshots/URLs? I’m looking for cases where an image has been added via Image Picker when the article already had an NFD template.
It should show up, how odd that it doesn’t. Filing a bug report for this. Thanks for the screenshots!
Unfortunately there’s no way for us to prevent this; the app pre-loads your next edit before you even get to it, so it might pre-load the same edit for someone else to review. Sometimes another person will quick edit the article or rollback the change before you do. In this case, just press “skip”. Thanks for bringing these bugs to my attention @kalyx
and @davecrosby

Thanks @Krystle
, It could be possible the image section may be blocking the ones done through NAB, but not the ones tagged during patrol - interesting thought. 'Will keep an eye out for some examples
