http://www.wikihow.com/Date-an-Older-Teenage-Guy-when-You-are-Young
was in the NAB, and then I found http://www.wikihow.com/Date-an-Older-Teenage-Guy-when-You're-a-Younger-Girl
Obviously they are duplicates, but should we even have them? To put things in perspective, 12 and 15 (which are the ages one of the articles uses) is a sixth grader and a tenth grader. 13 and 18, which is what the other one says, is a seventh grader and a graduating senior. These seem like age gaps that should never exist. I feel as if, if a girl is looking for this sort of article, the age gap that would be there is much too large to be safe or healthy, but what do you guys think?

Does it fit any deletion criteria?
Well, both of them aren’t very good, and need some formatting, but the first one hasn’t passed NAB, so I think it should be deleted as a dup for the second one.

@Isorhythmic
I’m thinking they could fit dan criteria because the potential for abuse and manipulation just seems sky-high. 13 and 18 is basically pedophilia- 18 is a legal adult, and 13 is still middle school.

Lots of articles have the potential
to be dangerous, but that doesn’t mean they are dangerous in and of themselves and that we should delete them. I have the feeling this article may fit into that category. It does not advocate or encourage abuse, and it actually specifically mentions not to be pressured into sexual activity. Think of it this way: the article has a 4-star, 75% accuracy rating, which means that it’s likely helped some people already. Instead of deleting it, why don’t we try to improve it to help make it a guide to further prevent people from being hurt by these types of situations? I have a feeling that younger teens are going to continue to date older teens, regardless of whether we have an article on it or not. It seems like we should try to help these situations rather than just delete the article and leave the readers to find potentially less helpful (or harmful) content on the web. We could easily change the ages to, say, 15 and 19, which is still a big age gap, but is still enough of a gap that there enough differences between them to warrant needing advice. Just my thoughts… I say try to improve it rather than delete it.

And I would be more inclined to use the first title given that it applies for both genders.
Sorry but both of them are not very good in my opinion

I find that questionable. I’m absolutely pro-objectivity but i think this is a topic that needs further discussion. If something considered bad is highly rated, doesn’t mean it’s good. I personally wouldn’t approve of articles like “how to legally rob an old woman” or “how to have probably highly illegal relationships with older people while in a very influential age”

@Tellis
I never said the article was perfect, or even good. What I did say is that there is an opportunity to help people with such a title, so we should try to improve the article rather than delete it. The examples you provided likely violate different aspects of the deletion policy, so I’m not sure what your point is, as they aren’t relevant. The articles in question don’t seem to violate any policy. My point is we should edit them to be more helpful, as there seem to be many people who need this kind of advice.
