Welcome to the latest wikiHaus Lab update! Here’s what’s happening for June 27th:

:rocket: What’s happening?We’ve updated our quiz search with an AI-powered search that’s much stronger and matches keywords for a better user experience. Part of this upgrade is to see how it works and potentially upgrade our main site search down the line (yay!).

:rocket: What’s happening?Q&A sections: The team is doing some experimentation with Q&A sections, so you may see it moved, removed, or somewhere new on some articles! The goal of the experimentation at this stage is to see whether it has any impact on readership, but may eventually tie in with the next update:

:rocket: What’s happening?Experiments with discussions: You may have noticed that Google has been promoting discussion sites in search results lately. We’re starting to look at ways we can incorporate discussions about wikiHow articles within the main site, so you may see some experiments revolving around this coming up.

:rocket: You may have noticed:Personality Profiles are available on user pages! These are a fun addition to user pages that compile answers from different quizzes that you’ve taken. There may also be more sets of quiz profiles coming soon!

:rocket: You may have noticed:You may see some accounts that look a little different to our normal wikiHowian accounts, with variations of our standard user pages. These are new accounts available for people who take quizzes but aren’t looking to volunteer around wikiHow. We’re monitoring these accounts to see how they do and whether we need to make any tweaks moving forward:slight_smile:

Oh boy, an upgraded search tool? The search bar has run circles around me before, so super glad that we might see an update to that:slightly_smiling_face:
