Why do we have leaderboards in Community Dashboard? (E.g.,Top Quick Editors, Top Tip Patrollers) I feel that this can be disappointing to new users. They see their rank, and how that other user categorized 200 articles…then they rush; quantity over quality.

Yeah, I agree. It depends on the user (some people really don’t care), the leaderboards are designed to encourage people. If people are doing quantity over quality, they will get messages soon enough though. They may not hear the end of it for quite some time!

@OoT2D If a contributor has a low rank it will display “N/A” instead of their low rank.

If they get higher, it displays actual numbers though.

I agree too. I was also disappointed when I was a newbie!

I guess to inspire people? I have always believed that since I joined wikiHow this was something that should only be introduced until a user has a considerable number of edits and has been on for about two months.
