I randomly late at night wanted to look up topics related to school principals/administrators. So I just typed in “principal” and nothing came up for some reason. I’m confused. (I very, very rarely use wikiHow search so I don’t know a lot about it.) If I go to public logs or any text field where I enter an article title and type in “principal” I get articles with the word “principal” in it.

Maybe there’s no articles about or named principals…?

I’ve noticed this too, with topics like writing a book or printing on a t-shirt (which there are articles on). I’ve also noticed that in NAB (this may or may not be related), no articles are showing up as potential duplicates for any article.

Try using Special:Search instead of the main search bar. It’s more comprehensive and looks for keywords site-wide. It’ll also include tagged and de-indexed articles.

ok so I’m trying to search on wikihow but like it keeps saying
It looks like your search - " manga" - did not match any content so here’s what to try next:

  • Make sure all words are spelled correctly.
  • Try different keywords.
  • Try more general keywords.

And like then I tried search up clean up article to test and nothing came up execpt for that stupid thing. How do I fix it? And Another thing how do you embabed a link in a wikihow article?

Yes, there apparently has no articles about wikiHow itself.

That’s probably a bug. I really wish typing into the search bar would be Special:Search as that seemed to work for me.

Yeah, we’re having some issues with the search feature this week. The team is working on getting it sorted out asap!
