Do you edit Wikipedia? What is your experience with Wikipedia? How does it differ from wikiHow?
Let me start:
Yes I do edit Wikipedia. It took me a while to get the hang of it, and to understand what a good edit from Wikipedia.
The approach is very different on Wikipedia than wikiHow. Wikipedia does have standardized kind messages including slap on the wrists, like wikiHow. wikiHow users are always kind but sometimes potential contributors mistake it for a chat site.
No, I don’t really edit on Wikipedia. The only time was to revert vandalism that I came across once.
I like reading it, they have some good articles, and I got a welcome message when I reverted the vandalism. I do have an account there, but it’s a different username, it’s R4_p17000, since mine was already taken, and if anybody gets the reference, then hello fellow Star Wars fan!
They have a lot more rules, and I’m afraid to edit there because of the many rules (I don’t want to do something wrong).

I think that over there is a more professional area. Like I said, the approach is very different. They do have more rules and general guidelines, but they do have an “Ignore all rules” policy which means that policies are not carved in stone, and edits counter to them may be allowed to stand if they improve the encyclopedia. They are not a place for general chat, though.
