How do I tell if I'm lesbian or bisexual?

I got the same answer! I'm pretty much exclusively attracted to women, but if the perfect man comes along, I could see myself being in a relationship with him. Some people may argue that this makes me bi, but for me, I'm more comfortable calling myself a lesbian. You don't have to be 100% only attracted to women to be a lesbian. Go with whichever label you like better!

I feel the same way. Instead of forcing myself into picking a specific label that didn't feel quite right, I found that calling myself "queer" captured my attraction without getting into the details. You don't have to decide if you're a lesbian or if you're bisexual

If you experience any attraction, even the slightest bit, to guys, then you might be bisexual. However, lesbians can experience attraction towards guys too, or occasionally like the idea of them. Just remember that you don't have to label yourself, just do what feels right to you!

I realized that I felt attracted to women about three years ago, but I felt somewhat attracted to mean as well, although I did not feel the same way about men and masc-aligning people as I did to femmes. After all this time, I finally realized that no, I’m not bisexual and pansexual, and I am indeed a lesbian. What I was feeling was just compulsory heterosexuality. You can think about your childhood how you only ever had female friends, you only had crushes on fictional men. you don't see yourself in a relationship with men etc.

The quiz says you “might” be a lesbian even if you check all the top boxes (the ones where you are like “i dont like guys, i dont think about guys, i don’t want to be with guys”). This quiz is not going to give you a definite answer, because no quiz truly can. If you see a future with a man, that doesn’t necessarily mean you are a lesbian. If you can’t see a future with a man, that still doesn’t mean you are necessarily a lesbian. It can be really confusing! I used to think i was in love with a guy, and i would picture a fantasy life with him all the time. I didn’t really like him as a person though. Everything i liked about him was something i made up. I was in love with the idea, not the person. A lesbian isn’t super specific either. I know i am physically attracted to men occasionally, i even know i find a certain type of man attractive. Some lesbians are not like this. Something i do share with all lesbians is the fact I never want to be in a relationship with a man. I never want to be intimate with a man, i even find that idea a little disgusting. It took me THREE YEARS to come to this conclusion. Even though it can be frustrating, you have to give yourself time. I was worried i would go my whole life without a label when i really really wanted one (you can also not want a label, that’s fine, but for a lot of people a label is really helpful). Here’s my best advice: If you haven’t heard of comphet (compulsory heterosexuality), i would recommend looking that up. I would read the lesbian masterdoc (available with just a google search). I would evaluate my feelings, talk to others (a lgbtqia+ therapist?), and research different labels. Research the difference between romantic and sexual attraction. For example, you could very well be biromantic but homosexual. You could still identify as a lesbian because you only want to be in a relationship with someone you are both romantically and sexually attracted to. Lesbian isn’t a hyper specific term, that’s why I like it! Until you figure it out, umbrella terms like queer are here for you, so you can be open about liking women and wanting a relationship with a female while you are still questioning. Anyways, no one quiz or comment like this can determine it for you. You just have to give yourself some time to figure it out. You will, though. I hope this helped!

My first "crush" was basically me being peer pressured. I kind of adapted that peer pressure into my mind, picking out guys up until I saw a boy I actually thought was cute. I never talked to him, and the crush faded. Then, one year later, I met a girl and felt the same thing. She and I became close friends, and I felt even more attracted to her than the boy before. Because the feelings for her were stronger, I thought I might be lesbian, but having the crush on that boy held me back. In the end, I decided I was bisexual and just felt a little more intimacy for women. It's honestly up to you and your experiences to decide what you feel, but I hope my experiences helped!

I felt like this sometimes too. For me personally I just think that (since I’m pretty young) I just want to explore that idea in my mind. I’ve never felt good about it though. A lot of that overthinking also comes from my family definitely being more open to the idea of me being with a man.
