Izaya claims to love all of humanity(excluding Shizuo Heiwajima ), and screams this publicly from a rooftop in one of the manga volumes. If screaming from a rooftop doesn't suit you, you can always drop it into conversations from time to time. Learn all you can about human behaviour. One of the things you can do to accomplish this is to learn about psychology and keep yourself updated on related articles and magazines.
Izaya wears a lot of black. If you don't want to wear black, dress classy in dark colours (maroon, dark red, dark purple etc.). Make sure to wear simple shoes, like trainers or boots to move around with agility. Izaya wears his signature dark coats with fur trims and does not care about mainstream fashion.

Don't use text language. He speaks in a female manner in chatrooms, under the name 'Kanra' and "Chrome". Stir things up, and spread rumours. Be careful not to go a step too drastically far (i.e., don't say that someone you know personally and that everyone in your neighborhood knows has committed a murder if they haven't), or you may find yourself in serious trouble - this is still real life.
Izaya is known to speak fluent Russian. Learn a few phrases phonetically, and then take steps forwards from there. If you want, you could learn Japanese too.
Izaya can predict human emotions and reactions with startling accuracy. Go to somewhere like an open-air cafe, order a drink or snack (staff get annoyed when you don't - go for something cheap), and people-watch.
In the manga, he smashes a schoolgirl's mobile phone under his foot with no hint of apology. Slide in the shadows and watch the fun unroll.
Izaya always has a flick blade hidden on his person. Depending on where you live, you may not be able to get your hands on something like a knife or a handgun, and you may get into serious trouble with the law if you are caught with one. Be careful.
Izaya is powerful. If you want contacts, your schoolmates won't cut it, depending on who you know at your school. Try to get a few who you think will be useful.
Izaya is often in lots of different places. He also seems to walk everywhere. This is a good time to get outside with a map in hand. To save yourself fatigue (this is optional), try to get something like a bike or a scooter - even rollerskates would be good. You would also get fit at the same time.
When Mikado first arrives in Ikebukuro, Masaomi warns him not to get involved with Izaya. Become feared, but be nice to people you meet. Be sort of two-faced.
If you're a girl, rub off that nail polish, or replace it with something clear. Cut and file your nails down. Eat well to remain healthy. Exercise. If you have long hair, clip it back. Don't wear too many accessories. Izaya keeps his appearance simple but groomed at the same time.
Start getting accustomed to having your mobile phone on at all times. Izaya is rumored to own at least 10 mobile phones. You don't have to go that far, as long as you have as many mobile phones as you need . Now is the time to get that cool ringtone or message tone you wanted!
Izaya is, and because of this, he is able to make large sums of money from selling information. You can start by reading the news everyday, and observing people around you(but of course, try not to let them find out). And when the time comes, sell your information!!
You can try this on your classmates too, but be careful not to step out of the line - which may result in you getting into trouble for bullying .
Izaya especially likes fatty tuna.
Izaya is said to be a master of parkour. This isn't everyone's piece of cake, so if you don't feel quite up to it you can always do some other sports to keep yourself in shape. After all, Izaya is very fit, though not in a visual way.

If you do see something bad happen to someone, help them. In the manga, Mikado was pushed into a gang of girls by Izaya to help Sonohara-san. Izaya then technically saved them both by diverting the girls and then crushing one of their mobiles, causing them to run away. You're supposed to love humanity. Help humanity as a part of this.

To be Izaya's role-player does not mean doing everything he does. You can always edit some of his more, um, undesirable traits to fit your own needs - such as, not getting into trouble with the police and not try to stab Shizuo whenever he appears.

Know that going out a night dressed in dark colors in a place with no or bad lighting could make you a target. Avoid dressing up in dark colours at night - you can be a day-time Izaya!!

If you really want a weapon, get permission from your parents, and ask a legal body. Know that if you used this, you could potentially kill someone in the process of fooling around as a roleplayer.
