Walkie-Talkie is a fun way to voice chat with friends on your Apple Watch without having to make a phone call. Unfortunately, the app is notoriously finicky. If you’re having trouble sending and receiving invites, transmitting or receiving messages, or even accessing the Walkie-Talkie app on your Apple Watch, we’ve found several solutions you can try.

Troubleshooting Tips for Walkie-Talkie

  • Make sure Walkie-Talkie is enabled in your Apple Watch’s Control Center.
  • Walkie-Talkie won’t work unless you and your contact both have FaceTime enabled on your iPhones.
  • Update and restart your Watch and iPhone, and ask your contact to do the same.
  • Sometimes it helps to remove a contact from Walkie-Talkie and re-invite them.
