QuestionHow can I format a DVD-R?Rudy TothCommunity AnswerYou don't need to format a DVD-R, for that is automatically done for you every time you record a non-copyright film (home movies/privately filmed footage).

QuestionI copied a VHS tape to a DVD-R. How can I add another VHS tape to same DVD?Rudy TothCommunity AnswerYou probably need a compressor unit device to compress two films on one disc. Once a DVD R is finalized, there is no way to add another film to the open unrecorded space.

Tips
- Windows 7 has the facility to use a CD/DVD as a flash drive - i.e. you can copy, delete and do anything to your Disc. Insert an empty disc and copy some stuff to it. Then on the top bar below the menu bar click on the Tab " Burn these items to disc"Thanks
- DVD-R's and CD-R's aren't really meant to be reused. These disks have a hardware limitation where once a certain area of the disk is used, no more changes can be made to that area, so you will gradually lose disk space until the disk is unusable. If you want the ability to keep using a DVD or CD like a flash-drive, go for the RW variants (DVD-RW or CD-RW).Thanks
- Some burning software does not have a multi-session burning facility, so before writing to a DVD, make sure that you enable multi-sessions if you want to write more files onto the DVD in the futureThanks
