    Community Answer
You have to save right next to the Heatran and battle it. If it's not a shiny, then load the game again and battle it. Just repeat this until you get a shiny Heatran. If it's shiny, it will be a different color palette and will sparkle.

      Tips

      • Stock up on plenty of Ultra Balls, Dusk Balls, and Timer Balls. Dusk Balls are useful for Pokémon in caves, while Timer Balls are useful if the battle goes on for a long time.
      • Heatran is level 68, so make sure you have Pokémon of at least that level.
      • Have Pokémon with moves that inflict status effects such as Sleep and Paralysis. Status effects will make it easier to catch it.
