Amazon Smile is an Amazon sister site that donates 0.5% of your Amazon purchase to charity. You can customize your charity to ensure the donation is disbursed to a local or favorite organization.

    To be eligible, this charity must be a 501(c)3 (tax-deductible) charity that has signed up with Amazon Smile. If you don’t know the name of a local charity, you can search by location.

    Contact them and ask them to stop charging you, or simply stop donating. If you mean through Amazon, just don't use Amazon Smile.

    How do I remove a charity from being attached to my account? It only gives me the option to choose a different charity.

    That cannot be undone. You can only choose a different charity, not delete it. Just continue to go through amazon.com NOT amazonsmile.com.
