  1. Go to  www.youtube.com and search for a channel. Click on the channel's title from the search results to open it.
    • You can use this to see the total view count of either your own YouTube channel or any other YouTube channel.
  2. It's near the top of the page. Look for the clickable bolded text after a snippet of the channel's bio. It's underneath the channel's name, subscriber count, and total video count.

Using ViewStats

  1. Go to www.viewstats.com . ViewStats is a third-party website that aggregates stats about YouTube channels. If you want to look up a lot of channels in succession, this might be a more efficient option than going to each YouTube page individually.
    • Because this is a third-party site, the stats may not always be updated in real time. Any stats you see on this site should be viewed as approximate.
  2. In the search bar in the middle of the screen, type the name of a YouTube channel and click the magnifying glass button or hit Enter on your keyboard.
    • You could search for your channel or any other YouTube channel.
  3. Under the "Total Views" header, you'll see the channel's total view count.
    • There will also be a number after the view count. This is the channel's global views ranking. If a channel has a star by this number, they're in the top 100 channels with the most lifetime views.
      • To view the global total views leaderboard, click the Top Lists dropdown and choose Top Channels . Then, under the "By Total Views" header, click Most Views (All Time) .

  1. 1
Can you see who views your YouTube videos? No, you cannot see who exactly watches your YouTube videos. The only way to get an idea of who has seen your videos is to look at the comments or to check social media. People in the comments—especially those referencing part of your video—have likely watched it. People may also be discussing the contents of your video on social media, which means they've likely watched it as well.
  2. 2
How does YouTube count a view? A view is counted once a user clicks play on the video and watches for at least 30 seconds (these 30 seconds don't have to be consecutive). If an ad plays before the video and the user clicks off before the video actually starts, it doesn't count as a view.
  3. 3
How can I tell how much a YouTube channel makes? There's no easy way to know exactly how much a YouTube channel makes. YouTube channels can earn money through multiple streams—including ad revenue, merch sales, affiliates, sponsorships, channel memberships, and more. Social Blade gives a rough estimate of how much a YouTube channel could be making, but this isn't always accurate. The only way to know for sure is if the creator discloses how much they make from their channel.
