Approximately 48 US teaspoons fit into 1 US cup, and 48 Imperial teaspoons fit into 1 Imperial cup. While some US and British measurements stayed similar, their volume (liquid-based) measurements were a bit different. [5] By the British system, 1 tsp was exactly 5 mL, while a US tsp was only 4.93 mL. [6]
