Are you organizing your Gmail folders? If you want to delete labels, you'll need to visit the desktop browser. If you're using an iOS device, you can use the Gmail app. Here's how to delete labels in Gmail using your computer, Android, iPhone, or iPad.

- Hover your cursor over the label.
- Click â‹® .
- Click Remove label .
- Click Delete .

Go to https://mail.google.com in a web browser. You can use any web browser to delete labels in Gmail, including Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.

Hover your mouse over a label and click â‹® . You'll see a list of your labels on the left side of the page.
- A drop-down menu will open.

Click Remove label . This is towards the bottom of the drop-down menu.

Click Delete . The label will be deleted.
- Keep in mind that the emails won't be deleted , just the categorization.

Open Gmail. This looks like a multicolored M with a white background.
- If you aren't already logged into your Gmail account, tap Sign in to do so now.

Tap ☰ . This is at the top-left corner of the screen.

Tap Settings . This is next to a gear icon at the bottom of the menu.
- You may need to scroll down to find it.
- A new page will open with your primary account's settings. If you see the wrong account, return to the inbox. Tap the profile picture in the top-right corner and select the correct email address.

Tap Inbox customizations . You can find this underneath the Inbox header.

Tap Labels . This is towards the top, underneath Inbox tips .

Tap the label you want to delete. You'll see them listed here.

Tap Delete [label] . This is at the bottom of the page.

Tap Delete . The label will be deleted.
