Tandemaus, introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, is one of the Pokémon. Evolving Tandemaus isn't difficult, but it's definitely an interesting spin on the typical method of evolving Pokémon by leveling them. Things You Should Know
- Tandemaus can be a little difficult to find due to how small it is.
- You cannot evolve Tandemaus with candies, though you can use candies to level it up to the evolution threshold faster.
- If you want to see Tandemaus's evolution animation, make sure it levels up while it is the Pokémon in battle.

Level your Tandemaus to level 24. Tandemaus evolves at level 25, but it cannot evolve if you use Rare Candy or EXP Candy. However, you can use candies to level your Tandemaus up to level 24.

Keep Tandemaus in your party while you battle. Due to EXP Share, Tandemaus will get experience as you battle, so it doesn't have to be the lead Pokemon in your party.
- Due to Tandemaus's evolution method, if you want to see the evolution animation, make sure Tandemaus is on the battlefield when it levels up to 25.

Level Tandemaus to 25. Once Tandemaus reaches level 25, it will evolve into Maushold. If Tandemaus is the Pokémon that won the battle that leveled it up, you will see the typical evolution screen. If Tandemaus was in your party, there will be no evolution message, but Tandemaus will have silently evolved into Maushold while in your party.
- Maushold has two evolutionary forms: Family of Four and Family of Three. Family of Four is the most common form, but there is a 1/100 chance that your Maushold will be the Family of Three Form. [2] X Research source
- Maushold found in Tera Raid Battles have fixed forms. If you catch a Maushold in a 4-star Tera Raid Battle it will be a Family of Three, and if you catch one in a 6-star Tera Raid Battle it will be a Family of Four. [3] X Research source
