How to Fix Analog Sticks on Dual Shock 2 Controller for PS2

If the character was moving when you were not touching the controller, this should fix the problem. Just repeat steps 1 & 2 while on title screen (press START ).

Every time you start PS2, move analog in a circular motion 1 time, and then your stick will not move itself.
