It is possible to heal a zombie villager friend in the game of Minecraft, restoring the villager to his or her normal self.     You'll need a splash potion of weakness and a golden apple. You can make the weakness potion with a fermented spider eye and bottle of water with a brewing stand, and the golden apples can either be found or crafted with one apple and eight gold ingots. As an alternative to this, you can instead make arrows of weakness to be more efficient. (if you are in java edition, you need lingering potions to do this, but in bedrock you only need a cauldron).     Make sure it can't escape. If your villagers are in compartments, then it is already trapped and this step is safe to skip. Keep the villager out of any direct sunlight; if it gets into the sunlight, it will burn. At this point you should also keep it away from iron golems, as they will attack and kill it.

    The zombie villager will begin shaking. It should take around 4 minutes for the villager to be cured. You can speed up the process by putting iron bars and a bed near the curing zombie. [3]

    About 4-5 minutes in real time (not Minecraft time). It also depends on how long you wait after you throw the splash potion. If you want to lessen the time, feed the zombie the golden apple directly after hitting it with the potion. Tip: Keep a bucket of milk nearby. You will also get the weakness effect when hitting the zombie. Drink the milk to get rid of the potion.

      • If there are iron golems in the area, they will attack and kill the zombie villager. Keep iron golems away to keep it from dying.

      • If you want to repeat this process for lower prices, set the gamemode to hard so that the villager has 100% chance of being zombified rather than just dying.
