If you're getting a lot of emails on your iPhone, you may want to sign out of your email accounts. You can add or remove email accounts on your iPhone using the settings app. You can also log out if you use the Gmail app. This wikiHow teaches you how to log out of email accounts in the Mail app on an iPhone.

In your iPhone's Settings app, go to Apps > Mail . Tap on Accounts and then select the mail account you want to sign out of. Tap Delete Account , and then tap Delete Account again.

How to Log Out of the Mail App

    • To log out of mail in the iPhone mail app, you will need to delete the account. If you only want to sign out temporarily, see the next section . Otherwise, you can add it again later.

    • This method will turn off Mail syncing, which prevents you from receiving new messages until you turn it back on. Use this method if you only want to sign out of your email account temporarily.

    • Signing out of the Gmail app on your iPhone will not affect the Mail app.
