This wikiHow article teaches you how to make a post on Facebook shareable.

  1. Navigate to your post.
  2. Click or tap the three-dot menu icon.
  3. Select "Edit Audience/Edit Privacy," then choose "Public."
  4. When your post is public, your friends will be able to share it by clicking the Share icon below the post.

  1. You can create a new post if you haven't already done so. You can use a computer, smartphone, or tablet to do this.
    • Find your post by looking through your News Feed or by clicking your icon in the left panel to go to your profile. If you're using the mobile app, tap the circled profile icon to the right of the Home icon to view your profile.
    • The post has to be your own to make it shareable. You also cannot make posts in private groups or pages shareable.
  2. You'll see this three-dot menu icon in the top right corner of your post.

    • This will say "Edit Privacy" if you're using the mobile app.
  4. It's the first option on the list next to an icon of a globe.
    • This means that anyone can view your Facebook post. If you choose any of the other options, not everyone will be able to see it. [1]

    • Only me : This hides your post from anyone who isn't you.
