Playing with darts can be a fun way to pass the time, but you may not have a dartboard and set of darts with you at all times. Thankfully, you can create your own set of darts with some square pieces of paper and a few simple folds. Start with a square sheet of paper folded in half horizontally, then fold in the lower right corner over and over until you get a fully-fledged dart shape. Or, you can also use a dart, or triangular sewing technique, to give your handmade clothing a little more curve and shape. This skill is very easy to learn, and doesn’t take more than a few minutes to complete.

Making a Paper or Sticky Note Dart

  1. Fold a square piece of paper in half horizontally.
  2. Fold the lower right corner up to the crease, forming a triangle.
  3. Fold the bottom edge of the triangle up to the center crease.
  4. Flip the bottom, angled half of the paper up over the crease.
  5. Continue “wrapping” the dart-shape with excess paper until complete.
