Open Files by Google. If you're using a Samsung phone or any similar phone with proprietary software, you will have to download the Files by Google app , which you can find on the Google Play Store for free.
- Most other Android phones already have Files by Google pre-installed.

Tap a category under the "Categories" header. You will see your data grouped in categories like "Downloads", "Images", and "Audio."

Tap and hold the file that you want to move. The item is selected when you see a blue checkmark in the upper left corner of the thumbnail, or on the right.
- To move multiple files at once, continue tapping thumbnails to select them.
- Switch between grid and list view by tapping the 3x2 or bullet list icons in the top right corner.

Tap ⋮ . It's the vertical three-dot menu in the top-right corner.

Tap Move to . It's the second option on the menu.

Choose where to move the files. If you have an SD card inserted, you can choose between Internal storage or SD Card/Removeable Storage .
- If you're moving files from your phone to your computer , you'll see your computer's name here.
- Tap a folder if you want to save the files to an existing folder, or select Add new folder to create a new destination.

Tap Move here . This moves the selected file(s) to the new location.
