If it doesn't, you can easily change your settings to require a password. You can also password-protect the BIOS to prevent anyone from booting up your PC without the password. How to Add or Update a Windows Password
- Press the Windows key on your keyboard.
- Click on the Settings icon, which looks like a cogwheel.
- Click Accounts .
- Select Sign-in options .
- Expand the Password option.
- Click Change to change your password, or Add to add one.
