Roblox allows you to send a private message to other players in the chat during a game as well as send a private message to another player's profile outside the game. This wikiHow article teaches you how to send a private message on Roblox.

Things You Should Know

  • Type "/w" followed by a username, or click the username you want to message in the chat. Then type your message.
  • To message another player's profile, go to their profile page and click "Message" or "Chat" in their profile banner.
  • You and the other player must have your privacy settings set to allow private messages in order to private chat outside of a game.

    If you see the user you want to message in the public chat, click their username. This will display "[To Username]" in the chat.
    • Alternatively, you can type /w followed by the username you want to message in the chat. Make sure you add a space between "/w" and the username.

    • If the "Message" button is greyed out and unclickable, the user may have their privacy settings set to not allow private messages.
