  • Question
I moved schools a year ago, I have one friend from my old school, she helped with my depression and anxiety, but we're drifting apart because she's always busy. What should I do?
    Community Answer
I know it's hard to be direct about your feelings sometimes (especially if you have anxiety), but you should talk to her. Just tell her you miss her and that her friendship is really important to you. Invite her out to do something you know she'll really want to do. If she's too busy to hang out sometimes, try to keep up with her by text, phone, social media, etc. Also, try to make friends at your new school. Join some activities, approach some new people, etc. You don't want to rely on this one person for all of your happiness.
  • Question
Should I keep apologizing to a friend for a fight we had 3 weeks ago over something small?
    Community Answer
No. One apology is enough if it's a genuine, meaningful apology. It gets annoying if you continue to apologize after your original apology has already been given.
  • Question
What do I do if my friend and I had a fight and I want to become friends again?
    Community Answer
First of all, get to the root of the problem, the reason behind the argument, and approach your friend with an apology. Even if you weren't totally at fault, you can probably find something to apologize for, "I'm sorry I said _______," or whatever. They might apologize as well and then you guys can move on. If not, they may still be upset and you might need to give them a little more time and space.
  • Question

First of all just because you get along for a while doesn't mean that you will be BFFs forever. Friends come and go. That's just part of life. Do more things you like to do, like clubs, or sports for example. This will help you meet people with whom you share interests. Think about the reasons you have lost your friends and try to change it in the future.

I changed schools but still live only 20 minutes away from all my really good friends. How can I stay great friends with them but also make new friends, and will my friends think of me differently?
    Savannah Raley
    Community Answer
A great way to stay in touch is to email each other or contact each other on social media. You can also invite them over for sleepovers or just to hang out. Making new friends can be difficult, but really all you have to do is broadcast your interests and find people that share them. I also doubt your friends will think any differently of you.

  • Question
My friend got offended by my opinion over one thing, and now she is over-exaggerating with others. She's being so hypocritical, what do I do?
    Tom De Backer
    Top Answerer
Friendship doesn't require agreeing on everything. A friend is someone you think is worth it to share your ideas with and listen to what they think. Someone you trust won't hurt you once they find out some personal thoughts. If a stranger says you're ugly, you don't care, because it's their opinion, not yours, and they're a stranger and you can't please the whole world anyway. Point out that she's being a tad hypocritical, but enjoy the friendship and ask to understand why she was offended.
  • Question
How do I know if someone likes me?
    Community Answer
She will always talk to you, and share her ideas. She also would trust you with her privacy. She would invite you to her house, and hang out with you a lot.
  • Question
What if this friend has another friend that they are best friends with and the best friend feels jealous of me because I spend lots of time with this person?
    Community Answer
You could invite this friend's best friend to join you guys when you hang out with each other. This way you also make another friend, and it would be a very nice gesture. They'll be less likely to feel jealous if you're all hanging out together and they see that you're a nice person.
