Where is the flag key mentioned above? I can't see it on my keyboard.

The flag key should be located in the top right corner, by the clock. If you haven't added any secondary keyboards and it's not there, open your Settings and go to Keyboard Preferences. From there add whichever keyboards you want and then change the active keyboard easily from the flag icon.

Why doesn't 'command + space' work for me?

It might be conflicting with other apps that use the same shortcut, so you may want to change the shortcut by going to the Apple menu, into your System Preferences, and clicking on Keyboard. From there, you can click Shortcuts to change what that keyboard shortcut does.

I have difficulty finding letters after changing the keyboard language from UK English to French. How can I solve this?

Once you have chosen the language by clicking on the flag in the menu bar, go back to the same flag in the menu bar--click and hold, beneath the flags representing the languages you have chosen will be a couple of other options. One of them says Show Keyboard View. Select this option. This will place a mini-keyboard on your screen that will show you where every key for the language you have chosen is to be found.

How can I make the delete key repeat when I hold it down?

The delete key should function like any other key as far as repeating when held down. Open System Preferences on your computer and select Keyboard. Once in the Keyboard window, again select Keyboard in the top bar if it is not already selected. There you will have the option to turn on Key Repeat as well as Delay Until Repeat. Choose the options that work best for you and you're all set!

Usually this is because you're using a different keyboard map to the keys on the keyboard, i.e. a US-purchased Mac being used with a British English keyboard. Press alt-3 to get the other symbol above the number 3.
