"At will" means just that -- " 'At (the company's) will', a person can be fired as easily as being hired, and they don't need to have or to give the ex-employee any reason whatsoever." This is the basic employment law in all 50 states of the USA.
  • Question
Is it a law that a jury must be made up of the accused's peers?
    CageyCat
    Top Answerer
Yes, it is a generally accepted law that a jury should be comprised, as much as possible, of the defendant's peers. As examples, a jury should have persons of the same sex, race, etc. as the accused defendant. However, in many states and counties/parishes, the community cannot provide a specific representation of exact qualities. As well, age of defendant does not apply generally -- juries are accessed via voter rolls, so age may be anyone over age 18 (18 and up).
