    Expert Answer
Wear loose-fitting clothes and short sleeve shirts. It's a good idea to bring layers in case it gets cold. Make sure you wear comfortable tennis shoes too. Avoid open-toe shoes, like flip flops or sandals, and any shoes that have a very high heel, like boots.
  • Question
If you are a bit worried or concerned about getting changed, what is your top tip?
    Community Answer
You can always find a private area to change in gym class . Try to lay out your clothes so that they are ready to quickly put on. Remember that other girls might feel the same way, so you're not alone.
  • Question
I always forget to bring hair ties. What should I do if I forget one for gym class?

Ask someone else if they have a spare one. A friend or teacher might have one.
  • Question
What should I do with my hair if it's short?

You can use a hairband, or just clip it up. It is your choice. You could even leave it down if it won't fly into your face while you're doing P.E.
  • Question
    What if I don't have a locker?
    Community Answer
Lay your gear out the night before, so in the morning you can look outside or on a weather app and decide what clothes to wear for gym. Then, put those clothes into a sports bag.
  • Question
What do I do if I am self-conscious?
    Community Answer
Don't worry, nobody's perfect! If you feel self-conscious getting changed in front of others, find a secluded space in the changing rooms where nobody else is changing, or, if there are any cubicles or showers, you could change in there. Remember, everyone is beautiful no matter what. If you are still self-conscious, speak to a trusted adult or friend, such as a counselor, teacher, parent, etc.
  • Question
I want to braid my hair in the morning or at school, but I never have time. I don't like ponytails, so how should I put up my hair?
    Community Answer
Try waking up a bit earlier, or just lay out your things at night. You can even tie your hair up on the way to school.
