  • Question
If I look at the pictures, I can see that it was written in thick pen. Am I supposed to use pen to make my handwriting nicer?
    Community Answer
Ink tends to work better than pencil because it is more defined and sharp. You could practice with pencil first, then move onto writing with a pen when you feel comfortable with the handwriting. While, you'll find that pens and fine tipped markers allow you to write more clearly and neatly than pencils in most cases, very sharp or mechanical pencils will work just fine too. And the images are just there for an example, they're not the only suggested approach.

    Community Answer
Outside of school, practice writing slowly. Time yourself, so you don’t finish a sentence in under 10 seconds. Write slowly for a few more days and then start thinking about legibility. Don’t revert to your previous rapid handwriting though. Soon you’ll have average speed and it’ll be legible.
