    • You can also click Redeem Code in the email, or copy the code and head to the Xbox Store link and redeem that code .
    • Digital codes can only be redeemed in the country they were purchased in. For example, if your friend in Mexico gifts you a video game, and you live in England, you cannot redeem the code. [1]

    Once you click Redeem Code , you'll see the game tile added to your Home screen where you can launch it. To make sure the game downloaded properly, you can launch and play the game. [2]

      • If you never received an email or message about an item gifted to you, the person who bought the gift needs to go to account.microsoft.com/billing/orders and look for the item. They need to select View gift code and can see the name of the person who accepted the gift. If it hasn't been redeemed, they can copy and paste the gift code into an email and send that to you. [3]
