Mop and Glo is a floor-cleaning product that is designed to add shine to a surface. Each time you use the liquid, it distributes a waxy film over the surface. Over time, it can cause the floor to lose its luster. In fact, it is not recommended for some floors because of the buildup. If the wax has hardened over decades, use a damp towel and an iron to loosen the film, and then scrape it up with a plastic scraper.
