Internet Connection Sharing allows a Windows PC that's connected to the internet via a cable or DSL modem to share its connection with other computers. To set up internet connection sharing between two Windows XP computers, you'll just need to connect the two computers with an ethernet cable and then make a few quick changes in Control Panel on each PC.

      • The connection to the Internet is shared to other computers on the local area network (LAN). The network adapter that is connected to the LAN is configured with a static IP address of 192.168.0.1 and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0
