  1. If you're getting a black screen, your Hardware Acceleration is turned on. If you followed the steps above to turn it off, make sure to fully close your browser (not just minimized) and open it again. This ensures the new settings are applied.
  2. Close Discord fully and open it again. Make sure it's not just minimized to your taskbar.
  3. If you're still getting a black screen, try turning off Discord's built-in Hardware Acceleration. Do the following:
    • On Discord, click the cog icon.
    • Click Advanced .
    • Toggle off Hardware Acceleration .
    • Restart Discord.
