It can be incredibly frustrating when you log in to your Tinder account and find your account is under review. What causes this? How long does it take? Is there anything you can do? This wikiHow article answers all these questions and more.
Why is My Tinder Account Under Review?
Your account may be under review if you violated the Community Guidelines or Terms of Use, if your been reported by other users, your account is suspected to be fraudulent, or you've been previously banned. All you can do is wait until the review is over. This can take a few minutes or several days or weeks.

Your ID is being verified. If you just created a new account, updated your account, or signed back in for the first time in a long time, they may put your account under review to check your identity. There has been suspicious activity from your account. There are certain actions on your account that indicate that your account may be fraudulent. Your account may be placed under review if you engage in the following activities:
- Swiping right on every profile. If you swipe right on every profile without taking time to think about it, this may be flagged as suspicious.
- Repeatedly sending the same message to multiple accounts.
- There are multiple accounts with your information.

You've been reported multiple times. If you've been mass reported or reported by multiple users, Tinder may put your account under review.

What Happens While Under Review?

You won't be able to swipe. Your ability to swipe on profile will be suspended until the review is complete.

Your matches can't see your profile. Your profile will be invisible until the review is completed.

You won't be able to send or receive messages. You will not be able to message any of your matches, and you will not receive an messages sent to you.

You won't be able to delete your account. If you're hoping to delete your account in order to prevent a ban, you're out of luck. You will not be able to delete your account until the review is complete.

What Can I Do?

Don't create any new accounts. Creating new accounts can complicate the review process and make it take longer. Avoid the temptation to create a new account.

Keep an eye on your email. During the review process, Tinder may contact you and ask you to provide additional information. Keep an eye on your email and check for any emails from Tinder you receive.

Cooperate with Tinder. If Tinder contacts you and asks you to provide any additional information or materials, be polite and cooperate.
