Using a different number to your personal number for work, dating, using classifieds, or making international calls can be a smart move. However, constantly switching from one device to another isn’t always ideal. This article will show you how to use multiple phone numbers on a single device.

Things You Should Know

  • Use an app. Search "second number" in your phone's app store, and choose an option. Most will rely on internet calls, but some will use a "virtual" phone line.
  • Get a phone that supports two SIMs. For Androids, dual SIM phone will often have slots for two different SIM cards. For iOS, you'll likely use an eSIM (virtual SIM card).
  • For Android, go to Settings / Connections / SIM card manager . Choose a default SIM.
