If you have a NuFACE device, you’re likely hoping to see a reduction in wrinkles, creases, and other facial imperfections, but you might not be sure where to start. Luckily, these hand-held devices are easy to use. The NuFACE Trinity and NuFACE Mini work to tone the same amount of skin, but the Trinity offers special attachments that can work on smaller portions of skin, like your eye, nose, and lip area. [1] After cleaning and priming the areas of your face you’d like to treat, glide and hold the NuFACE device in place to start your skincare treatment.

Working with the NuFACE Trinity and Mini

  1. Wash off your face with a cleanser before starting treatment. Squeeze a button-sized amount of cleansing product onto your fingertips and spread it over your skin. [2] Use short, circular motions to apply the product and thoroughly rub it in. Opt for a cleansing product that is specifically designed for your skin type. [3]
    • For example, if you have especially dry skin, try using a cleanser that’s cream-based.

  2. Pour a small amount of NuFACE Gel Primer on the back of your hand. Use your other hand to dip into the gel and apply it to the areas of skin you’d like to treat with your NuFACE device. Glide your fingertips in small, circular motions to apply a layer of Gel Primer to the designated spots. [7]
    • If you plan to use NuFACE on multiple parts of your face and neck, apply the priming gel to those specific areas immediately before using the device.
  3. Turn on your NuFACE Trinity and place it slightly off center in your collarbone. Glide the device in a curved path along the side of your neck, and stop directly below your ear. Hold the NuFACE Trinity in place for 1-2 seconds until you hear a beep. Continue working your way up the neck, gliding across the curve of your collarbone and stopping below your ear. [8]
    • Do this on both sides of your neck, if needed.
    • This treatment aims to lift up the skin along your neck, making it firmer and less saggy.
  4. Set the NuFACE Trinity on the base of your jawline, in line with the corner of your lips. Drag the spheres upward, stopping just beneath your ear. Hold the device in place until you hear a beeping sound. Continue by sweeping the device from the corner of your lips to your temple, and also from the corner of your nostril to the end of your cheekbone. Always hold the NuFACE Trinity in place until the device beeps.
    • Glide the device in straight, smooth lines for the most effective results.
    • Overall, these treatments work to lessen any obvious wrinkles or creases on your jawline and cheek area.
  5. Place the device above your eyebrow, starting at the thickest part of the brow. Drag the NuFACE Trinity at least 2 to 3 inches (5.1 to 7.6 cm) up your forehead before holding it in place. Stop applying pressure once you hear the device beep. Continue the process by gliding the spheres from the center of your brow, as well as the thin, outer portion. Each time, bring the NuFACE Trinity to the top of your forehead and hold it there until you hear a beeping sound.
    • You’ll be working along the curve of your eye, going from the thickest portion of your brow to the thinnest.
    • This treatment works on smoothing and lifting the skin above the eyebrow for a more youthful look.
  6. Power down your device and place it in the proper charging outlet. If you have any leftover Gel Primer on your face and neck, rinse it off with cool water. If you have Leave On Gel Primer, feel free to spread the product into your skin further.
    • Only the original Gel Primer needs to be rinsed off.

Trying the NuFACE Trinity ELE Attachment

  1. Pour a coin-sized amount of Gel Primer on the back of your hand, and use the application brush to rub it on small sections of your face. Use small, circular motions to rub the gel into the areas you plan to treat. Aim to cover your skin above and below your lips and eyelids, as well as the space between your eyebrows. [9]
    • If you don’t have the application brush, feel free to use your fingertips to apply the Gel Primer instead.
  2. Place the tips of the ELE attachment beneath the center of your lower lip. Hold the device in place for several seconds until you hear a beeping sound. Move the device upwards, following the curve of your lower lip. Repeat the same process, keeping the tips in place until the device beeps. [10]
    • This treatment works to lessen any obvious creases and wrinkles above and below your lip area.
  3. Place the attachment tips above your upper lip. Center them below one of your nostrils, and drag the device upwards, pulling your skin up as you go. Hold the tugged skin in place for several seconds, and wait to remove the device until you hear a beeping sound. [11]
    • If you’re having trouble maneuvering the attachment on your own, consider asking a friend or family member for help.
  4. Shift the ELE attachment to the skin creases between your nose and upper lip. Slide the tips into the crease and glide upwards by about 1 inch (2.5 cm). Keep the tips in place until you hear the device beep. [12]
    • For fuller treatment along this crease, place the ELE attachment along the side of the nostril as well.
    • Try out this treatment if your lip and cheek creases are especially prominent. [13]
  5. Place the NuFACE ELE attachment tips along the crease of your lower eyelid. Start beneath the outer corner of your eye, and hold the tips in place for 2-3 seconds. Instead of waiting for a beep, shift the tips along the curve of your lower lid, holding them in place for another 2-3 seconds each time. [14]
    • To make it easier, aim to trace the bags under your eyes.
    • This treatment works to firm up the saggier skin beneath your eyes.
  6. Set your ELE attachment tips along the curve of the upper eyelid. Place the tips above the corner of your upper eyelid and glide the tips toward your eyebrows. Once you’ve pulled the tips upward, glide them slowly along the curve of the brow bone. [15]
    • Ideally, try and repeat this process 3 times for maximum effectiveness.
    • These treatments target prominent eye wrinkles, such as crow’s feet.
  7. Place the ELE attachment tips above the bridge of your nose and directly next to one of your brows. Slide the tips upward, gently tugging your skin up as you go. Repeat this process on both sides of your nose. [16]
    • The wrinkles between your nose and eyebrows are sometimes called “elevens,” which is what this treatment focuses on.
    • Wash off any excess Gel Primer when you’re finished by using the ELE attachments. If you have Leave In Gel Primer, feel free to further rub it into your skin.

Take good care of your skin regularly. Use sunscreen to avoid sun damage. Also, use vitamin C serum regularly. Besides this, you should use retinol at night to stimulate collagen production.

    Expert Answer
You can get over-the-counter cleansers that have different amounts of benzoyl peroxide. For acne on the chest or back, you can leave them on for five minutes and then rinse. There are also leave-on gels. But if you put too much benzoyl peroxide, it can irritate. So apply just a thin coat of it.
