Understand the effects of deleting an account. This is an irreversible action that would delete your projects, comments, likes etc. Your account username you created will be released for re-use by someone else.

2Go to CodePen's main page. It is located at https://codepen.io . Simply choose an internet browser and open it, then type (or copy and paste https://codepen.io and hit ↵ Enter . Alternatively, you could use Google to search for CodePen and click on the appropriate link. (usually the first one that appears in the results)Advertisement

3Click login. Once you are on the main page, you'll see a bunch of graphics and options. Look for the account-related options (for signing in and logging in) on the top-right and click on the Log In button. You can alternatively go to the login page directly by following this link: https://codepen.io/login .

4Login. You'll be taken to the login page after clicking the Log In button or following the link. There, you can either log in using your social accounts (Google/GitHub) or your site account (using your username/email and password). Once you have entered the details, click on the green Log In button to continue. Choose which way to sign in based on how you created your account.

5Go to settings. Once you're logged in, you'll be taken to the "Trending" page. Click on your profile picture present in the top-right corner of the page and select Settings from the appearing dropdown. The option will have a cog symbol next to it. Otherwise, you can follow this direct link: https://codepen.io/settings/

6Go to Account Settings. Your CodePen account settings can be directly found at https://codepen.io/settings/account . If you'd rather navigate using the UI, look for the pane on the left under "Settings". Then click on the second option "Account". This will take you to the relevant settings page.

7Click Delete Account . After you reach account settings, scroll down, and find "Danger Zone". On the right, it will include a button called Delete Account . Read the informational text and click on the button.
- To find the button, you may use your browser's search function as well.

8Confirm the warning. Once you click Delete Account , you will be shown a "MEGA Warning!", informing you of the effects, depending on whether you're a team owner or not. [4] X Research source Read the warning and click the I Understand, Please Delete My Account button if you accept. Doing so will begin the deletion process.

9Provide feedback (optional). Notice and acknowledge the "Your Account Has Been Deleted." heading at the top. If you want, you can enter the reason you decided to leave in the text box provided. Once you're done, click the Submit button at the bottom. Note that this is optional.

10Acknowledge the final message. It would say something along the lines of "Thank you for the feedback. Take care!". You may now close the tab or the entire window .
